I work from an office in Central London in Duke Street (Bond street tube station), however home visits can potentially also be arranged if necessary. I’m also happy to discuss running sessions at the evenings and weekends. For more information about arranging a session, please see the ‘Referrals‘ and ‘Contact‘ pages.
When I originally qualified as a clinical psychologist in Lisbon, Portugal (1998), I had already been working for two years as an intern at Julio de Matos Psychiatric Hospital, including work on anxiety and mood disorders, somatoform disorders, sexual disorders and disorders usually first diagnosed in infancy, childhood and adolescence. I followed this up with further clinical positions at a Students Counselling Centre, a teaching position at the Lusofona University, and by opening my own office for private practice. During this time I also completed a postgraduate degree in cognitive behavioural therapy. My work with clients from 1996 covered a gamut of anxiety and mood disorders and I conducted individual as well as group therapy sessions.
I have also completed further CBT training in the UK, as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist for the NHS . I currently still hold that position in the NHS and work with clients with a number of complex and sometimes co-morbid conditions including obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, and depression.
